    FANTASTIC FALLS

RATING - 4/10

TYPE OF APPROACH - Trail

DIFFICULTY - Medium

LOCATION - Snoqualmie Tree Farm

TYPE - Plunge

HEIGHT - 16'

WIDTH - 15'

There are apparently several small waterfalls along the North Fork in the Ernie's Grove area.  Fantastic Falls is the largest of these.  It's a beautiful waterfall located at the top of the awesome gorge.  From the viewing area for the falls, you can look downstream and see more of the gorge.

DIRECTIONS - From North Bend, turn north onto Ballarat Ave, which changes to 428th Ave, and then North Fork Rd.   Two miles after crossing the river, take the left at a Y in the road.  In a few miles the road will turn from paved to gravel.  At about this point, you will see a gravel pit to the right of the road.  Park here and follow a trail for about 3/4 of a mile, overlooking Ernie's Grove.  Eventually you will have to climb over one tree and under another that lay over the path.  Just after this, find a bootpath to the right and follow it down to a T.  Take the left hand trail and follow it to its end at the falls.  Thanks to Tony for the directions to this one.
